Page 1 of 4 History of Dick's Hillrise MarketThe history of Rick’s Meats dates back to 1952 when Dick Hayden, Rick’s father, bought his first store in Waterloo, NE. He owned stores in Valley, Waterloo, and Elkhorn at different times for the next 51 years. Rick learned the meat cutting business from his Dad starting at age 12. Cliff Hitchler started at Dick’s Hillrise Market in 1980 and brings his 28 years of experience to the partnership. The third partner, Mark Pearse, owned his own stores for several years before coming to Dick’s Hillrise Market. The three partners have a combined 103 years experience of meat cutting, sausage making and customer service. |
