Rick’s Meats (formerly Dick’s Hillrise) has been a staple in the Elkhorn and surrounding communities since 2005. Providing the best cuts and selection of Beef, Pork and Chicken in the area and excellent variety of Smoked and Fresh Sausages to choose from.

Established in 2005 through the partnership of Rick Hayden, Cliff Hitchler and Mark Pearse. Their combined experience in the meat and grocery business was essential in making Rick’s into what it is today. 

 

In 2022 Rick’s Meats was purchased by Valley native Kyle Sake, who worked with Rick, Mark and Cliff for years. Kyle grew up in Valley and was a close friend with Rick. At age 15 Rick was Kyle’s ride to work and every morning he got the unique experience of one on one training of all the cuts and watching Rick go the extra mile to meet every customer’s need. After Dick’s Hillrise burned down in 2005 Kyle worked for years at Hy-Vee managing their meat department. 

 

Kyle is striving to carrying on the tradition of keeping Rick’s Meats Elkhorn’s favorite local grocery store along Cliff, Mark and Susie and some new friendly faces. Please come see Elkhorn’s little gem and check us out.
